The Benefits Of Getting Closer To God

January 12, 2024

Serving God and getting closer to God can transform your life. This blog is gonna give you the desire to want to have an intimate relationship with God.

Getting close to God and allowing him to fully intervene in my life has brought me so much peace. The battles I face are not mine to fight but his. Sometimes we tend to be out of line  with God will for our life because we are not close to him and he has no way of communicating to us as to what is in his heart. The closer you are to God, the more he becomes open to you.

He Gives You Life

–First things first is if you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do so.  I do not know what you currently believe in and they’re so many different God’s that people believe in but at the end of the day there is only one God who is above all other Gods. Let me kindly remind you that the LORD is above all other Gods and you can’t get to him  if you don’t first go though Jesus Christ. “Jesus said to him, I’m the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.(John 14:6)

–God is the life because he is the vine and we are the branch. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches” (John 15:5). Everybody knows that whenever a branch is removed from the trunk of the tree, it automatically dies because it’s no longer connected to the source of life. By itself it can’t get the water that keeps it alive. As us humans it’s the same way, the moment we are far from God we become dead because we are no longer connected to the source of life.

He Becomes The Light Of Your Life

–If you ever want to know if you are living a righteous life , get closer to God and read the Bible. Some people are un aware of their iniquity because they are living in the dark. Going to church, serving God, without having a personal relationship with him can set yourself up for failure.

The best thing I ever did since becoming saved was seeking God for myself with the intention of him convicting me. Spending time with God has allowed him to shine his light in my life by addressing all the sins that lies deep within me that I never knew were there. “But now you must be holy in everything you do, jut as God who chose you is holy (1 Peter 1:15)”

Your Life Is Saved

– I have come to an understanding  why Jesus asked us to not do certain things and why he made the 10 commandments for us. In doing so it was out of love and it was a way for us to stay safe. Imagine a world where people actually did what God  has commanded us to do, there would be no crime, no abortion, and people would be thriving in life because there would be no back bitting. Every sin we commit has consequences that comes with it. “If you want to save your life, you will destroy it. But if you give up your life for me, you will save it”. (Mathew 16:25-26)  This verse is telling us to leave our flesh desires behind so we can start living a righteous life. Nobody came to Jesus and remain the same way they were but then again it’s by you making that decision. He is not going to force you to change but all I know is if you’re truly wanting to walk with God , they are certain things that you will need to give up because he is righteous.

          10 Commandments

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall make no idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
  4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet.

3 Indications That Reveal You Are Not Totally Free

February 13, 2024

Freedom can mean different things to different people depending on their age and circumstances. It’s no surprise that a 16-year-old may have a different answer than a 30-year-old.

      Freedom

  • Freedom means the power to act, speak, or think without restraint.
  • The freedom from being imprisoned or enslaved.

Regardless of your definition, we can all agree that Jesus  sacrifice on the cross has given us the chance for total freedom. Are you living in the promise of total freedom? This blog can help you find out.

1. Your Addiction

Living a life where you are in control of certain things is an amazing feeling. Those who have ever been addicted to something know or may not know that they are not in control. Since individuals who are addicted do not feel the peace of mind that a person who is free from any addiction feels.

Being a slave means you are no longer in control. For example, whenever a person finds themselves craving or relying on alcohol to feel good, their mind shifts to “I must keep drinking this so I can find relief or peace,” which makes them feel like something is off without it. In this person’s world, they are no longer in control; the thing that they rely on to give them the feeling they long for is in control.

2. Not Being Your Authentic Self

Embrace your authenticity wherever you go and with whomever you are. Living a free life means being true to yourself and never feeling the need to act a certain way to please somebody else. Putting on a fake persona is draining and takes away from your growth. Instead, put that energy into becoming the best version of yourself. You are uniquely made, and those who don’t accept you for who you are don’t deserve a place in your life. Total freedom is being yourself at all times.

PS: We all have potential for change and growth. If you find yourself being rude, disrespectful, angry, or mean, take a moment to reflect on why that is. Find the root cause and work towards transforming those habits. You have a beautiful soul within you, and it’s time to let it shine.

3. Repetitive Sin

John 8:34  Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”

Hey girl! As children of God, we are called to be holy and walk in the freedom that has been graciously given to us. Our Lord has given us the freedom to make our own choices without any external force controlling us. If you find yourself caught in a repetitive cycle of sin, remember that you are not alone.  Ask God to help you overcome that sin, and he surely will. He has helped so many of us before, and I’m confident that he can do the same for you. It’s time to walk in the total freedom that was meant for you and not allow anything or anyone to rule over you.

PS: Don’t forget to ask the Holy Spirit for help whenever you are tempted again. Remember, “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” (Philippians 4:13).

5 Tips On What To Do During Difficult Times.

November 16, 2023

The fact you are reading this,  means you are alive and well. Thank you God for this beautiful soul who is reading this. As of right now your life might be smooth and steady or you might have one or two things you are currently trying to overcome.  Well that’s how life is, no matter how good or bad your life is right now , just know that you are not stuck in the season you are in. During your difficult times it might seem like it will never come to pass but believe me it SHALL COME TO PASS.

At your lowest moments what are the things that gives you hope and strength to just keep going?

If you currently don’t have faith and it seems impossible to overcome the hardship you are facing, then this blog is for you.

1.Know The Truth

Not knowing your rights and worth, it becomes hard to get what you desire.  You end up settling for less in life , you accept the situations and kind of proudly talk about it. Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed from lack of Knowledge”.

I created this blog in 2022 and as I tried to publish it, I found myself hitting a wall. In order for me to gather my strength and to actually hit the live button, I first had to find the truth. The Bible/pray were the resources that I used to find the truth.  Before finding the truth I found myself talking myself out of this, I had millions of excuses as to why I wasn’t worthy of creating this blog and other things I wanted to do. At the end of the day God has clearly showed me that I’m capable  and I can do all things because he said so.

In the midst of your difficult moments hold on to the truth. What does your heavenly father say about your situation? As he already given us his one and only son and he came to die for us , including that sickness you have, lacking wealth, and whatever you are currently going through.  The price Jesus paid for us it has given us the ability to win the battles we face everyday and has given us the strength and will to overcome anything.

2.Read The word of God and Books

Having a place where you can gain some strength and wisdom is what should motivate you to keep going. Hearing others talk about what they have overcome helps you to create the mindset to not give up.The Bible is a great source, it shows you what you can do in the mist of your situation.

One of my favorite story in the Bible is the story of Sarah and Abraham. The fact they believed God for a baby when they were in their old age.  What was impossible became possible because they had faith in God and in what he had told them he would do. They didn’t focus on the problem instead they held on to what God said.

3. Have Faith

Trials and tribulations are one of the fewest things that can pin you down and makes you have self doubt. So in order to prevent that you must have faith. Because without having  faith in yourself it becomes a challenge that’s hard to tackle. In all we do we are expected to have faith and trust the process no matter how bad the circumstances might seem.

Having faith gives you a sense of peace and encouragement to just keep pushing. Faith can come in the form of uplifting yourself, speaking what you want to see instead of what you are currently seeing and praying with faith. Joel 3:10 “Let the weak say  I’am strong.”  What you confess over your life and situation is more powerful then you think. Everything has ears as far as I know because I have learned the truth and you should as well.

4.Stand Firm

When the odds are against you and  don’t see a way out; hold on to the truth. Read the word of God or inspirational books, have faith and hold firm on to the things you are believing God for. Every day announce to the world that what I’m going through shall come to pass. Don’t allow yourself to grieve over the negative things but instead rejoice in the things that are going right.

5.Surround Yourself With Good People

You might not have taken the time to appreciate those who have been there for you, well as of right now what you are currently reading  should help you to appreciate those who God has placed into your life. The people you associate yourself with can either motive you or drain you out. Having people who are going to pour into you during hardship moments it’s always a game changer because they motivate you to keep going. They also tend to give you the reassurance that you are not alone. If you do have those people say “Thank you Lord for bringing so and so into my life”.  For the people who are in your life that tend to drain the life out of you,  during hard times try to distance yourself from them until you got yourself together.

The Journey To Finding Your True Identity

December 15, 2022

Do you know who you truly are and why you were made?

As a person who has been through the motion of finding my true identity ; I can definitely say that it is liberating to truly know who I am. Knowing who I am has given me the opportunity to have a soft heart towards certain things I used to never care about. I have a sense of who God created me to be and what I was made for.

Certain individual live their lives however they want to because they don’t have an understanding of who they are. Living a life that has no meaning can lead you to feel empty and worthless. That’s why in certain cases some people end up committing suicide or hurting themselves because they see no reason for their existence.Your calling should give you the desire to continue living.

Who are you

Who do you say you are?

If you know who you are congratulation beautiful.  If you don’t know who you are well it’s okay I’m here to kindly guide you in finding your true identity. There is an amazing King who has given me the chance to know who I am. He is able and will introduce you to yourself if you want him to. We need to go back to the creator to actually ask him instead of trying to figure it out ourselves.

According to DR. Myles Munroe “If you want to know who you are, look at God. The key to understanding life is in the source of life, not in the life itself”. You are who you are because God took you out of himself. If you want to know who you are, you must look at the creator , not the creation.”

Remove Comparison Out Your Mind

When you are trying to know the real you, you should never compare yourself with somebody else.By doing that you end up self-loathing.

  • Self-loathing: is a constant belief or feeling of worthlessness, failure, inadequacy and incompetence.
Comparison is the thief of your JOY. Have you ever noticed whenever  you compare yourself to others,  you end up  having a bad feeling toward yourself and tend to doubt yourself. Well that’s  because you start looking at other peoples life and admiring what they have or who they are. By doing that you forget the good things you currently have, and forget the very unique things about yourself.

2 Corinthians 10:12

“we do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves”.

The  Bible advise us to not compare ourselves because when God made us he said we were beautiful, he placed something unique and different from those who you compare yourself with. Know that you are uniquely made and the one who created you never makes any mistakes.

Your History Doesn’t Define You

Some people connect their identity to their past or the environment they grew up in. You might have had a really rough childhood or done something really bad but know that you past/current situation doesn’t define you. Your identity is who God called you to be.

  1. 1 John 3:1
  2. Ephesians 1:5
  3. 1 John 3:1
  4. John 15:16
  5. Galatians 4:7
  6. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Those are some bible verses you can read to know who you truly are but this implies to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

2 Corinthians 5:17 ” This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone, a new life has begun!” The moment you accept Jesus Christ  as your Lord and Savior just know that your life is about to change. When God looks at you he doesn’t look at the horrible things you have been through or done as means to define you. Instead he sees the original spirit  he has created and the great gifts he has placed inside of you. The God I serve will use  the things that was meant to break you to save other people. He will use it to pull them out the darkness and to bring them towards the light. He is the God who doesn’t keep records of the things you have done or currently doing if  you turn from your sins. Turn your ways and return back to your heavenly  father and watch him change your life. He is the one who made you, he knows you better than you know yourself. You might be in the season of trying to find who you are and you haven’t found the answer to your question. Well I’m here to let you know that don’t search yourself in this world instead go back to the one who created you and ask him who you are. Your identity is connect with the one who created you. Pick up the word, pray ,seek and you shall find what you are looking for.

5 signs you don’t know who you are.

July 25, 2022

The Importance Of Knowing Who You Are.

What does an identity mean to you?

Identity:”The condition of being oneself or itself, and not another.

Knowing who you are and why you were made should be  everybody automate goal in life . Finding your identity can be a life changing experience. Within your identity you will  get to know what you like and what you don’t like. It gives you the ability to pick and choose the people you want to be around , the places you allow yourself to be, and what you want to do for a living. Your identity should surely open your eyes and show you what you are capable of. A lot of people struggle with knowing who they are, because all their lives they been told who they are and what they can do and can’t do. They involve themselves with people who are unsure of themselves and they tend to not provide you with any help because they are lost as well. Knowing who you are can give you the courage to be different from those around you and still be happy with the person you are or destined to become. In the following paragraphs you will be able to discover whether you know yourself or not.

1.You Believe What Others Say About You.

Have someone ever made bad a comment on your appearance and you automatically accepted what they said about you ?

When you are having an identity crises, you tend to believe peoples opinions over your own. For example, lets just say you grew up in a toxic and dysfunctional home. Constantly you were being  told that you are useless and that you are a nobody. As you grew up, you removed yourself from that environment and tried to better yourself. As you try to do so you came across the fact you had doubts within yourself , you tend to not accomplish any goals you set for yourself.  The reason why you keep falling short is because the words that were spoken into your life while you were growing up has became part of your blue print. You have inlined yourself with what was spoken over your life and  you have accepted them. Well that’s because What people say about you can impact you big time rather it’s positive or negative. My number one source talks about how powerful the things we say about ourselves and others. Proverbs 18:21” Death and life are in the power of the tongue”.

2. You Don’t Understand Why You Do The Things You Do.

As you are trying to evolve it’s always important to know the things that triggers your and make you into the person you no longer want to be.

You might know someone or you have had an experience where you were around certain people and you noticed every time you were around them, they brought a different side of you. Well that because you haven’t gotten to the point where you truly know who you are and being proud of who you are. You don’t know who you are  if you have to question why you do the things you do whenever you are around other people. I have gotten to the point where I know who to hang out with and who to not because I feel the pressure of becoming the person I don’t want to be. Since I know who I’am and what I can allow into my life has helped me a lot.

3. You Have Low Self-Esteem!

Having low resilience can indicate that you haven’t gotten to the point where you truly know yourself.  If you tend to not believe in yourself and doubting yourself then it will stop you from evolving into the person you are suppose to be. People who know who they are don’t lack any confidents. Whenever they do, they have a way of bringing back the confident that’s within themselves. They know what they want and they are very aware of themselves.

4.You Look For Answers Outside Yourself.

Whenever you are trying to make a major decision in your life that might be out of your comfort zone you tend to not believe in yourself. So you start searching else where for confirmation or for somebody else to have a second oppinion about the decision you are about to make. People who know themselves they know what they want. When they make a decision they have thought it through and they are sure of what they are wanting to do.

Most of the time I used to seek for other peoples approver whenever I made a decision. Every decision I made revolved around what other would think of me whenever I take the path I was thinking of taking.

5.You Feel Lost And You Don’t Know What You Want.

Whenever you hit rock bottom in life and you have no idea what you should do next. You have no sense of direction of the next step that  you need to take in life. You feel like you don’t have a purpose in life or you don’t have a reason for living any more.

Those who know themselves know their values in life. They have their philosophy of life down in their heart and  they know their desires in life.

Lastly

Knowing who you are is a lifelong journey, it can take years in order for you to know your true authentic self. If you are currently struggling with finding your purpose in life ,finding who you are will help you to find your purpose in life. Your identity is attached to your life purpose.
